RESTING METABOLIC RATE (RMR) TEST measures your exact daily caloric expenditure so you know how many calories you can consume a day for weight loss or weight gain goals. We measure your O2 (oxygen) consumption and CO2 (carbon dioxide) production for 10-15 minutes at rest in the morning. During your appointment, we will also include a BLOOD PRESSURE MEASUREMENT and BODY FAT COMPOSITION MEASUREMENT.   Following the test, we will interpret all your individualized information and give you recommendations to obtain your goals.

CUSTOMIZED PERSONAL HEALTHY MEAL PLAN

Based on the results of your Resting Metabolic Rate test, we will build the perfect meal plan for you according to how many calories you burn in a day and what your weight loss or weight gain goals are.  The meal plan outlines a sample day and provides a long list of substitutes so you can easily exhange foods on your sample day for new ones, but still be sure you're consuming the proper portions and variety of nutrients.  No calorie counting required!  These healthy meal programs are personalized, easy to use, and are sure to help keep you on the right track!

NUTRITION COACHING:

Keep yourself moving down the right path with Physically Focused's personal nutrition coach, Toni Bloom, MS, RD. Similar to meeting with a Fitness Trainer, Toni coaches you on your day-to-day food choices and portion sizes. You are responsible for writing down what you eat (she has weekly food booklets or an Excel sheet that make this task quick and simple) and she'll review it. Her feedback will include suggestions for changes in food choices or portions, calorie estimates and weekly averages, and nutrition goals for the week ahead.

CONSULTATIONS:

Toni Bloom, MS, RD, is available for one-on-one consultations to help you improve your diet. She specializes in sports nutrition, fat loss/muscle gain, diabetes, hypertension, vegetarianism, high cholesterol, and overall wellness. In a one hour consult with Toni, she'll review your typical eating habits, provide tips for improving your diet, calculate your calorie needs, and set up a sample meal plan to accomplish your goals.

MEASURE YOUR PROGRESS:

We will take your Body Fat Measurement using calipers to measure your percentage of body fat to lean body mass and do a Circumference Measurement so you can tangibly track your progress!
