Kelley Blalock, Fitness Specialist

As a trainer, Kelley is concerned in connecting her clients' motivations with their physical goals to allow for life changes, happiness, and long lasting success stories. She firmly believes the mind and the body can nourish or starve one another.

Her previous experience includes training at 24 Hour Fitness in Mountain View, CA. She also has a firm understanding of gait mechanics (walking and running) as a result of her years managing The Runners High in Menlo Park, CA. Kelley's pervious personal training clients have included the elderly, weight loss seekers, pre- natal women, post by-pass surgery clients, and sports-oriented (specifically running) individuals. As a trainer, Kelley emphasizes dynamic posture (posture in motion) because she has found that when your body can move with more ease, then you are likely to want move more.

Kelley is a certified personal trainer with three organizations: National Academy of Sports Medicine, National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association, and Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. She is currently continuing her education with a focus on corrective exercises as well as speed and agility programs.

Kelley lives by example; you will frequently see her running around Stanford, or riding the beautiful, yet grueling hills of the Peninsula, preparing for her first century ride in the fall of '08. Kelley is always interested in an adventure, whether it is a new hiking trail or a new town to explore.
